Your User Agent is showing as "ForteAgent/8.00.32.1272"

Do you mung your User Agent??

Agent is an NNTP program, not the user agent string.

When I view source of you post I see:

"User-Agent: ForteAgent/8.00.32.1272"

Yes. Please see: http://www.forteinc.com/main/homepage.php

TCW, I am aware of ForteAgent, I think I've seen it around for well over
a decade, but you posted " I am on 2.31b1. But I am a proactive, not
reactive person and I am willing to bear some bugs in beta form and
report any issues I find."

Yet here you are posting with a totally different program!! Or do you
use SM betas for your browsing and Mail, but ForteAgent for NG's??

I use SM for browsing and Agent for NGs. Agent manages NNTP so much
better than SM, for em at least.

Thanks so much for this response, TCW, but then one must ask "Why use
just part of SeaMonkey (and ForteAgent) rather than Firefox (and
ForteAgent)?? (Here I am assuming that you also use ForteAgent for Mail
as well as NG!)

Is Ff that much worse/inflexible at browsing than SM??

I have FF too in fact but I primarily use SM. I use for mail.

O.K.
