In the beginning the items in the list were just mails. Then they could be grouped of mails based on conversation (threaded view)
So now if these 'many' conversations were regrouped based on the 'few' other person we are dealing, it would be more helpful. Leading to grouping of mails compactly in hierarchically nested organized tree outline view, somewhat like this: # grouping based on the other person we are dealing with (similar to contacts in chat apps - Skype's recent, whatsapp) ## list of all threads inside this group ### All mails in that thread with options somewhere maybe in context menu to collapse expand levels, so obviously the default view is collapsed showing the contact name, subject, snippet-(if enabled) I guess this option is partially available in MS outlook in activity section, but it provides one group at a time and there is no overview. Also like grouping in file manager (windows explorer) where it shows all items in groups all at a time.
