They are not hidden.
They are at the left bottom side of a SeaMonkey window.
and also under the drop-down menu "Window"
I never use tabs, because I hate tabs.
The topmenu is really clear - this is better than intuitive.
You don't understand: Send, Address, Attach, Spell, Security, Save ???
Or GetMesgs, compose, Reply, ReplyAll, Forward, etc ???
Email should not be hidden. If you display the Folder Pane, the email
accounts should be visible.
As for tabs, you can close a tab by middle-clicking it.
