I have an htm file which displays perfectly in the SM browser. But, when
I try to print it and look at the Print Preview, the last few pages
don't show. Is there any way to get this file to print. I tired
converting it to pdf but it drops the pictures. Thanks. Stan.
The usual reasons Firefox/SeaMonkey won't print correctly are:
1. errors on the page (see validators below)
2. there are tables in the markup
BUT WE cannot correct those errors to solve the print problem in SM.
What WE can do, is changing the Browser, per example, Internet Explorer
can cope with errors on a page, so It print it OK.
Guys, other SeaMokney users on the same version and OS are not having
the same problem as stan, which means the cause is very unlikely to be
in the markup. Lots of pages on the web have errors, and render/print
just fine, so please stop using the validator as a crutch whenever
someone has rendering/printing issues.
Using a different browser is an option for almost every issue that is
posted here. The reason why people bother to ask about their problems in
here is because they don't want to go through the hassle of using
another browser and prefer to use SeaMonkey.
So instead of going down a rat-holing about html errors versus using IE,
let's focus on why stan is actually missing content from his print
preview and others are not.
