https://www.facebook.com/BlueManGroupFans hogs my CPU and RAM like crazy in my four days old 32-bit SeaMonkey v2.40 and 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 installations. I never had this problem in SM in my very old, updated Windows XP Pro SP3 box (same hardwares except its HDD replacement due to a nasty click of death crash).

FB generally was causing me considerable CPU usage in 2.40 on Linux. Upgrading to 2.46 didn't help. I found my profile's places.sqlite was over 60,000K. ~20,000K is the initial size. I compacted places.sqlite with the Sqlite Browser utility, and SM responsiveness improved a lot, even though compaction only reduced filesize about 22%.
