try another webbrowser or phone to isolate.
check that an adblocker is not conflicting eg, in terminal type ping <my site>
eg, ping google.com
see if you get response, if not might be the firewall
you can also clear the dns cache, depends on the os and brower

try a different profile or create a new one to see if its an extension or
script you installed that interferring

if certificate error , you may need to update the certificate they come with
the browser but if not updated version may have old 'expired' certificates that
have old dates
either get the new certificates by updating browser OR download the
certficate in impport.
you many export from a newer browser as IE(even if you don't want to use) you
can apply those certificates to your browser
they are in a 'universal format' named something like Dig..RootCA.crt

or SymantecClass1/1 pubblicCertifcaiton Authority.crt
but only download from a known browser and not a fork/clone that may have
invalid certificates.
(btw i ran into this issue bec using browser on xp,bec of db program that I
cann't install on my current
os therefore using a virtual machine) , if all fails try a virtual machine of
an newer os if you dont want to distrupt your settings at the least you can
always delete the clone and it runs in sandbox , thats how many ppl open
old-games
