Here is a possible solution from Alice awhile ago for a similar problem of
duplicate thank you letters.....
... you will need to go into your Thank You letter layout and make sure the
body of the text does not cross over the page boundary...here's how you can
check:
In layout mode (click on Mode -> Layout) navigate to your letter layout.
You will want to check to see first that your text does not "bleed" over
into the next page by crossing over the page boundary. Another check you
will need to do is see if the footer of your letter crosses over the page
boundary. If you do not need a footer for your letter, then delete the
Footer part by clicking on the Footer tab/button and clicking the Delete
key. You will then want to make sure that the Body part also does not cross
the page boundary. So Move the Body part up (click and drag up) until you
see the page boundary disappear. Now go into Preview mode ( click on
Mode -> Preview) and use the book icon to check to see what your WHOLE
letter looks like. Make more adjustments in layout mode as necessary. Here
are other checks you can make:
1. Make sure that the block of text that represents the text of the letter
lives entirely within the "Body" part and does NOT cross over into another
part such as the Header or Footer.
2. Make sure that the boundaries for the block of text that represents the
text of the letter is not any larger than it needs to be. There should be
no extra carriage returns at the end of your text; make the boundaries of
the text block snug with the bottom of the actual text.
3. Once you get the boundaries for the block of text fitting onto one page,
then you need to resize the "Body" part so that it is snug up to the bottom
of this text block. If the body part spills onto a second page, you'll get
a second (blank) page with every letter.

Subject: [SUPPORT] Printing Solicitation Letters

When I follow the process to send a one-page solicitation letter (Letter
#4), everything works fine until I get to the Preview function. When I
click on the VIEW Preview button and move through the stack of letters using
the Book icon, each letter is shown twice, in this order: Recipient 1,
Recipient 1, Recipient 2, Recipient 2, Recipient 3, ...and so on. If I
return to the Print Letter, PREVIEW LETTER/VERIFY FOUND SET screen and move
through the stack of the found set using the Book icon, each found record
appears only once (as it should). If I continue with the printing job, each
1-page letter prints twice, as 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,...

I have tried this on two HP Laserjet printers with the same results. The
printers are physically set for 1 copy, the printer setup routines are set
for 1 copy and the print job is set for 1 copy. I have tried this on two
different PC's logged on to ebase individually.

Please help, this is our first solicitation using ebase and we are on a
deadline.
