I only used the -a switch.  If I add -n as well it becomes:

TCP     0.0.0.0:49247   0.0.0.0:0       LISTENING.

and many

TCP     <myIP>:49247    <foreignIP>:<port>      ESTABLISHED

My netstat -a -n listing has in column 3 0.0.0.0:*, not <myhostname>:0
