IBM's java is essentially a fork of Sun's java. I'm running freenet in IBM java 1.4.1 and it works most of the time. IBM's java is allergic to Linux 2.6 (the new threading model) and must be run in "compatibility mode" with LD_ASSUME_KERNEL="2.2.5" or else it will randomly freeze when fred is heavily loaded. - -- Roger Oksanen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> +358 50 355 1990 CS Student at Helsinki University PGP id 1B125A3E Homepage http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/raoksane/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAtbSA78OZUBsSWj4RApt9AKDDkz4UY0y8gD06IhI0WqhaFvjYUwCghSwa uyW+FBg7TnVrUXN+dQ+hT0A= =ALvo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Support mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://news.gmane.org/gmane.network.freenet.support Unsubscribe at http://dodo.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support Or mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
