Hi,

I just installed the latest Freenet build from your official site. I also
have the latest Java Runtime (installed it as part of solving this problem).

I can't figure out what's wrong. I found two people with similar problems,
one of which solved it by updating Java Runtime, the other was asked
reïnstall Freenet (he hasn't replied as of yet). I tried both "solutions" a
multitude of times, yet to no avail. I see the forum is Usenet-based. I'm
not familiar with that hence this mail.

I am running:
- Windows XP SP3
- Tiny Firewall (did disable it for a while, to see if that could help..)
- No virusscanner or other form of anti-malware service, I did "Immunize"
via Spybot's service.
- I have shut down a lot of services manually for security reasons. Maybe
there's some sort of dependency?

 Below I copied the errormessage:
*Freenet Starter was unable to control the Freenet system service.*
*Reason: Service did not respond to signal.*
*If the problem keeps occurring, try reinstalling Freenet or report this
error message to the developers.*
**
Can't think of any other relevant info. If you need to know more, don't
hesitate to ask. I really hope you can help me set up Freenet correctly.

kind regards,
Tijmen
