+1 Although those on the dev list may be more insightful than me, I don't see any real downside to this. The g_ether module is pretty much essential and I don't see any harm in having all possibly-useful modules available to anyone using stock kernels. If someone needs unusual driver configurations, are they not likely to be rolling their own kernels?
