Neither FreeBSD 5.x or 6.x will boot on these. Even m0n0wall 1.2b5-b7, which were completely stripped of APIC and ACPI, and virtually every other option that you could possibly remove and still have a functional system. In other words, your chances of getting this working are pretty much nil unless you put together an image with debugging tools and get a back trace on that panic.
