Anderson--- Good luck, I already asked. They told me to talk to the FreeBSD team (I'm sure you'll recognize the person that filed the bug report with the BSD team :)
Basically, they claim it is a bug in Virtual Server, and not BSD, and won't fix it (ahem... BS). They show a kernel patch and tell you to use that if you want it to work. (Nevermind that FreeBSD 6.x are the only OS's that I know of that have a problem with the floppy in Virtual Server-- linux, windows, and even BSD 4.x all see the floppy just fine in virtual server) Dimitri Rodis Integrita Systems LLC -----Original Message----- From: Anderson Carli [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 28, 2006 9:53 AM To: support@pfsense.com Subject: [pfSense Support] floppy drive doesn't work in MS Virtual Server 2005 R2 I'm using pfsense in a Virtual Server, It works well, but I'm having some problems on shutdown, sometimes the disk went broken. So I decided to use it on direct from CD image, but the freebsd doesn't recognize the Floppy as related here: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=91476 It is possible to apply this patch in pfsese distribution, or there is another way to solve this problem (broken disk on hot shutdown)?
