I've had my disk get corrupted exactly once in the last several years with pfSense power failure. It confused me how it could happen given that the embedded runs with the disk partition for the config mounted RO. In anycase, a manual fsck fixed it up, but it was definitely not something The Boss could have done on her own at home.
At home we get power failures at a ridiculous frequency...
