Users are confused because even as they check localization they need, Pidgin still starts in English and shows no sign of switching language. Checking Spanish or Russian localization checkbox is no big deal really, but to switch Pidgin language Windows users must create an environment variable. I am a programmer, so this is not a problem for me, but I can imagine users who don't even know *what is* environment variable and how to operate it. How it looks on Linux, I can't say though. And if installer will set that variable automatically when translations will be updated I can not say either.

This is just my personal opinion.
