Are there any known
problems with Pidgin (v2.7.5)? Since yesterday morning, 19 November 2010, I have not been able to Enable my installation of Pidgin, it shows "Unable to authenticate: Authentication Failure". I have un-installed the application, cold re-booted, defragged and cold re-booted again before reinstalling Pidgin v2.7.5. However, that did not resolve the problem, it still can not authenticate. There have been no O/S (XP Pro, SP3) modifications or Malware present (Avast, Spyware Terminator, Ad-Aware, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spybot-Search & Destroy, Spyware Blaster and Super Anti-Spyware ... with only Avast and Spyware Terminator running in real-time).
