Further to my eMail
concerning "Authentication failure" problem with Pidgin
(v2.7.5), as appended. I took note of your upgrade advice of v2.7.7 of today's date, which alleges to have overcome the SSL Certificate issue(s) that causes the Authentication failure. However, after downloading, installing v2.7.7 and rebooting, I am disappointed to find that the Authentication failure problem has not been resolved. Ultimately and in desperation I uninstalled Pidgin, [cold] rebooted, defragmented and then [cold] rebooted again before reinstalling Pidgin v2.7.7. However, all that didn't make any difference, I still receive the "Authentication failure" ErrMsg. Furthermore, I used Internet Explorer (IE) (not my default browser) to log in to and out of my mail server believing IE may issue the appropriate SSL Certificate, but that didn't solve the problem either. I also used my default web browser, Mozilla Firefox, to access my eMail server, but without any success either. Sincerely, Colin S. Tonks On 20/11/2010 08:17, David Woolley wrote: V S Rawat wrote: |
