After I downloaded Pidgin on my new computer, it says- " you require

I am trying to use Pidgin for FB chat. Please tell me how I can fix it!
Assuming FB means Facebook, and you are using a current version of
Pidgin: if you are using the XMPP method, make sure you have complied
with step 3 in
http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=371950911048&id=210368314792
i.e. Uncheck the box labeled "Require SSL / TLS"
If you are using the third party Facebook plugin, seek help from its
authors, or delete it and follow the procedure in the above URL.

Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want.
RFC1855 says there should be an address here, but, in a world of spam,
that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work.
