Hello Dave,

I've been toying with the same idea. It hadn't occurred to me that the current player actually doesn't have any 3D features left in it.

Hi Svein,
Not sure if I said this before but if you are doing a new version of the player, _please_ enable the binaural output - at the expense of stereo if necessary or with only one set of hrtf's or..

The reason I would give is that for most people this is the only mode which can demonstrate the huge advantage of Ambisonics over other surround systems in that it has height - at least, without buying more speakers!

Hello,

I have my suspicions about what causes this. Hopefully, I can solve it at the same time I implement Dave's channel routing for the next version.

Hello,
I wanted to ask you if you managed well for routing the output channels of
Harpex Player to the mixer of your soundcards.
I am working on a RME Multiface under Windows XP and usually I am able to
route
them without issues, coming from Pure Data or Ardour, for example.

My issue is that I play a B-Format wav file but I only get two channels
(the
first two) of the decoded sound in my RME mixer, did it work for you? I
think
RME mixers should be quite similar and some people here are RME users...
 In the
menu "output device" I tried all possibilities, including analog audio or ADAT.It can´t be a matrix problem of my mixer, I checked it as well and I
am
used to configure it for complex setups.

I remember that there were some previous questions regarding routing
channels,
but this is just my confirmation that by the moment it didn´t work for me.

And I wanted to give my congratulations to Svein for this beautiful piece
of
code.

Thanks...

Enrique
