I have some storage space available in London for the master tapes, depending on how much there is. I did try and find out exactly what kit Mike was selling through a friend of his and indeed I bought his DPA5100: I believe someone else bought his Soundfields and Sennheiser MKH30s. As far as I recall, there are various Schoeps and DPA mics still available, some Neutrik test kit and other bits and pieces, but it seems that getting a complete list wasn’t really possible whilst Mike was still alive.
Is it worth contacting the AES about his archive? Heather Lane knew Mike quite well until they lost touch and she’s aware of his passing and may be able to offer suggestions.
