Yes, and although the signals can fairly simply be converted to A format, there is a perhaps a difference in practical pick up and maybe this configuration actually gives better Ambisonic results than the SF mike. Unlike the SF mike, it is completely "symmetrical" in the horizontal and vertical planes.
