Sorry, I should shave before writing. I meant magnetron, not klystron... There is a lot of stuff if you google circular microwave cavities. I havent looked in detail, but they are, as I expected, high Q devices, which is a much better way of putting what I was trying to say earlier in a rather fumbly way.
