If your referring to a ps/2 ibm machine, then the type of connector on
most of the micro channel arcitecture machines was esdi.  You can't plug
anything else into those machines, and indeed, even different models had
different drives for them.  I've got a mod 70 that doesn't use the same
type of connector as the mod 30 I have, even though they're both esdi (go
figure) Ibm was not consistent in their model manufacturing.  No doubt to
milk extra funds out of their customers since you couldn't transfer pieces
from one to the other.
