Well I found another problem with DR DOS. On my laptop I have DR DOS with NO disk cache IIRC and SECURITY.BIN (which loads into memory). I have not had a problem with this setup. BUT on my Wooden PC I have the same setup, but with 1Mb NWCACHE and 5 second (default) write delays. When I compile a program in Turbo Pascal, and then started using it, I was getting stack overflows. I think it might have been a combination of the delayed disk write cache and SECURITY doing whatever it does to the FAT. I disabled SECURITY and no more problems. Maybe if I disable the disk cache it would work, but for now, I need the disk cache when working with Turbo Pascal. -- -- This mail was written by user of Arachne, the Ultimate Internet Client * PostHaste and Arachne To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
