I live in Sweden too, and I don't think I can remember ever heard
about this "law". Then again, I started using computers only a few
years ago.
Does anyone else of our Swedish list-members remember this law and
could perhaps expand on the subject somewhat?
As for the other stupid Swedish law, this one is blamed on a
directive from the EC. AFAIK other countries, like Germany, has
chosen to implement this directive in a much less far-reaching way.
In the Swedish variety, it would technically be illegal not only to
slander other people, but also to mention their names, like the name
of that Swedish opposition leader, whose name Bernie left out - in
order not to break the law? Anyhow, his name is Carl Bildt, and I
haven't asked for his permission to mention him here.
I'm not even sure if it's completely legal to critisize Microsoft,
mentioning the name of its chairman, without asking for his
permission first. If such a law would be implemented in the countries
of our other list-members, it would really be a hard time for all of
you M$-bashers, wouldn't it?
