Okay, thanks, I called the manufacturer and learned that it's compatible.
So, the mystery continues.  there may be a series of extra
commands/switches I can type in before booting that will fix it.  'This
might be related to the Disk Manager, though the tech support guy at
ontrack says he's got redhat installed on a machine using Disk manager to
run windoze on an oversized drive.  He said just load the one partition
with windows, then use the partitioning software on the linux system.
Yeah, when I can get through a boot!
I also went through the compatability lists and as far as I can tell,
everything is compatable outside of the printer and scanner which aren't
supported.  Those wouldn't mess up the boot though.  There may be a command
I give to identify the cylinders, sectors and heads on the drive?  I'll let
you know what support tells me if they ever get back to me.
