Heheh. I wrote a program once that handled setting the date for you so
you could run an expired program. After the program finished, you could
rerun the program to put your date back to what it was supposed to be. I
originally wrote it because I had a 30-day trial copy of a serial network
program. Well, it turns out the thing was sold to some commercial
company, and they no longer accept registrations for it. So, I wrote my
little program to change the date of my system to something the network
wouldn't complain about since it only checked the date upon startup, then
change it back after the network loaded. Nice, simple, and fast. I put
it into the batch file that started the serial network, and all was well.
:) Don't think I have it anymore, but I could probably be persuaded to
dig up another copy of it if someone wanted it. It was a whooping 10-20
lines of code in pascal.
