Of course once a company gets large and powerful enough, it's influence can
effectively make it "the government" in certain policy areas. I don't know
when or who said it, but an American politician once said that what was
good for General Motors (the automobile manufacurer) was good for America.
This, of course, at a time when they dominated the auto market and were one
of America's largest employers. Well as a non-gun owner, I still want to be
able to own a firearm. An armed populace is a deterrent against an
ambitious government or politician. Just remember, they can have my DOS and
my gun, when they pry it from my cold, dead, fingers. ;)
