Oh, it's not that, Bernie, you don't have to register your nick. I like to
register my nick because it means that if I'm given channel priveledges
like op or voice, it is attached to the nick and *then* you have to have a
registered nick. A registered nick means that nobody can imposter you,
they always know it's you when you show up because it's registered.
