I've been saying for years that i want a replicator. and a
transporter.
It looks like a vioce access will big for many apps in the
future, but I think other interfaces will still be there along side
it. there will still be GUIS and CLIs for times when you need to be
quiet (meetings, etc.) and for other things. Recall as well, on
Star Trek: TNG, that they are always carrying around "data padds"
for individualized work on projects. And these padds are also
interfaced with the "ships computer".
Maybe the first generation of PADDS will be the PCs people
already had when their house system was installed?
This is all great food for thought.
