IMHO I would suggest a SCSI scanner if you intend to scan many things. Of
course that will be more expensive. But if you can get better results and
above all *faster* scanning then I would get a SCSI scanner instead of a
scanner you connect to the printer port if I were you.

What's the price for scanners these days anyway? Between 70 and 120 USD for
one connected to the printer port here, SCSI scanners are not something I
have even looked at. If the price range for a SCSI scanner is out of your
league (I bet it's out of mine) then a parallell one will perhaps be "all
you can get". :/
