I have now tried VxFTPv. 1.00 and PM-FTP, there are no problems in accessingthe 
directories and reading the contents. Usually I use Netscape 4.61 (OS/2) and then
drag the links to the desktop for Autowget to start Wget to download them.

I do not think Lineo blocks out Arachne, it is more likely a bug in Arachne.
