I will certainly back that up

it is more full featured, has way more extras ( 1000 fonts is more like
a double garage full of extra tools in my book).

The reviews in all the major mags said that WP works better, has way fewer
bugs, is integrated withitself better - ie for putting ond kind of doc
inside another).

The web code produced is cleaner, the presentation module is easier to use.
and it come with Trellis which was a webmakers' no. one dream tool
according to an older review.

My version is the academic one so the price was quite attractive - what a
deal when compared to Claris Works bundle and others.

What I have always like better about WP is its ease of customizing the
interface, the quick correct etc,

According to me - and other experts, the best two features of WP NOT
reproduced or reflected anywhere else are:

 - Grammatix - the no one rated grammar checker. You gotta love this super
helper program!

  - Show Codes - shows all the formatting codes on your page - rather like
showing the HTML codes on a web page.

Another reason we bought WP is that it only requires a 486 and smallish
amount of ram.

The Professional edition - which I got - comes with Dragon Dictate the no !
rated dictations software. Now there is another area that MSoffice is NOT
EVEN TRYING TO COMPETE!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIE!!!
