It's weird how often I hear of this, yet how seldom I experience
it. Neither on this my win98 machine, nor my fiancee's machine, nor his
roommate's machine (also win98) all of which run on 32MB ram, nor indeed on
my old 486sl25 laptop with 20MB RAM running win95. When I was running
win98 on a 586/133mhz w/32MB ram I also did not find it crashy. Only if I
overloaded the system and I knew it's limits from testing them. Or if I
was running questionable apps from questionable sources (independant
shareware and the like.) Only real trouble I"ve had is running Outlook
express and then when I issue confusing commands (like sending mail for
which I"ve not configured it) I use OE for news only. Perhaps it's that
bit of pyrite I've glued into the case for magic?

Inertia. It's not just an object at rest tends to stay at rest; it's
also an object in motion tends to stay in motion.
