HI -
Check out the reviews of WinME in the the NYTIMES, WIRED.com, CNET, and Good
Morning Silicon Valley. They all liken it to moving a slightly new house
with a few new features (that you can get for free anyway, or of dubious
quality), but one that is TWICE as big, over onto the same foundations as
your old house.
Contrast it with the preview/review of Mac OSX at the same time!!!
In short - all the reviews I have seen so far, say it is twice as bloated,
slower, not stable, has features that were in much earlier Mac systems, does
not have the elegance or stability of other systems such as LINUX or BEOS.
They also warn that it has problems w/ hardware drivers. As such, it has
been stated that you might be in trouble if you upgrade it ontop of 95 or
98. Getting it w/ is new system is the only suggested path. What an
options!!
