That would be one sollution ;-)
Another would be to (depending on the program of course) how you read the
input from the user. I remember a program (a game actually) that I did (I
don't think I have it anymore) in QBasic. It worked very good at a 286's
and a 386's but on a 486's it was incredibly slow - the reason was how I
read the input from the user (due to a diffrence between PS/2 and normal
keyboard intefaces IIRC - but that may not be correct).
