Hmm, the only 16 bit editing tools I've used very much of are for Windows 3.1, they include of course PaintBrush for BMP/PCX, NAVImage for conversion to different formats, and LViewPro 16...this one has become my favorite for Win3X, as I can add text, crop, change format to GIF, JPG, etc. Small and lightweight also. Handles many file formats.
For DOS, the only image editor I have is an ancient one, Deluxe Paint II, but, I can at least save pictures to PCX format with it, then using LViewPro or maybe one of the commandline utilites, or my fav viewer for DOS, PictView, convert it to JPG or GIF, maybe PNG for use on the Internet! That's about all I have at the moment. I'm not sure you could find Deluxe Paint anymore??? Sort of like the OLD versions of The New Paint Shop, hehe...maybe someone has a disk for sale, or on eBay...if you can't find it and wanna try it, I'll see if I can dig up my old installer. C U L8R!
