For MOD (and related) files:

XTCPlay does not play well on my machine(*), with clicks and gurgles, and
JukeBox does not run at all.

I have the best success with IT (Impulse Tracker), and with MMP
(Multi-Module Player). As a "helper" application (with no screen
display) for Dos Navigator, or Tutordo etc., I find that MSP
(Miscellaneous Sound Player) does a good job (comand-line only).

(*) My machine: AMD K6, 400 MHz, 64 MB RAM, SB16, running MS-DOS 6.20.
I also have huge (ex-Hi-Fi) speakers hooked up, set wide for best stereo
effect.

FWIW: I do NOT use QuickView for sound OR graphics (except AVI and MOV).

Regards,
        Ron
