sorry for cross-posts,
I recently got my old PC-AT "repaired"... the HD failed so for $175. the
shop installed a new HD, mobo, CD-ROM and floppy And Win3.11 w/ DOS 6.22
yet with no software/none of the Win3.11 and DOS apps that were on the old
HD{the old broken HD is still in the tower unconnected...
isn't Karen Carpenter the best?! :) clearchannel radio is playing
"there's a kind of hush all over the world" :)
...in case I'm ever able to have
it repaired...
my question is this: does anyone know where,
other than ebay, that I can purchase Win3.11 software?
URLs, ftp sites appreciated...
also for DOS 6.22...
in particular, Ron Clarke, a couple of years ago you posted the URL or
ftp site of SJG? freeware DOS CD player which i downloaded for that old
hard drive then yet now I forget the URL/ftp location... (: would you
help?

p.s. Dirk Hunt, I know you must be rolling over in your office yet I
still haven't upgraded to new equipment... in fact I had a chance to get
Win95 on my new AT yet asked for Win3.11 cause most of the apps I have on
my other Win3.11 computer(the one I'm using now(a toshiba 486dx laptop))
are just so for Win3.11{I forgot that Win95 comes with IE(:} I really
should invest in new equipment and new OSs yet I continue to do/use what I
understand(and can afford) please bear with me and my continued use of
this ancient technology -Andy
