That's what I was hoping to test, but you've done it already. So seems safe to say that many "difficult" DOS programs run under DOSemu. Have you tried any different VESA video modes? I might try (someday) Knoppix as the first pass, simply because there's SO MUCH already written about modifying it, but DS sounds good as a further refinement towards developing a DOS gateway.
