These kinds of net surveys are practically worthless in showing any kind
of ranking of the products with respect to any kind of relevant criterium.
They have only amusement/fun value.

You should also have cited a sentence from the introductory paragraph on 
the same page, namely: "Over 3000 votes were cast, with over 50% of them
from Germany". This COULD explain the preference for SuSE.

As somebody who uses both SuSE and RedHat I think your sweeping statements
in the last 3 sentences should also certainly not be taken seriously.
