Thanx Kim:=)

I just got done looking at your ntp.conf file and got but three questions for it:-)
1: What is the drift files that it mentions? Are these generated by the servers?
2: Is it important as far as what the permissions and owners of the file should be?
3: I take it that most time servers are set up to report according to gmt, is this
time automatically converted to the local time by ntpd in accordance to what is
defined by the time variable?

Other than that, thanx a lot:-) It don't look like it would be to bad to set up,
and I believe I can set up a script that would take diald down and just launch pppd
for the time check:-) (I can see where diald could become rather tedious on the
time check especially if there is no apparant traffic for any length of time. (I've
got that pretty much set up at default, but still I get an occasional complaint when
someone is logged onto the internet and the phone line shuts down when they think
they're doing something (but no packets are being seen by diald during this
process:-)

At any rate, I really do appreciate all of your help:-)
