Tap into MS' phone support lines (no, don't really) and see how much traffic
they have each day. At least w/Linux you'll get some real help instead of the
'reboot/reinstall' mantra.

A lot of the activity on a list like this comes from experienced users helping
newbies get over the first few humps of the learning curve of switching to a
new OS/way of doing things. They are usually more 'how do i' questions than
bug reports.

One of the things I love the most about Linux is that when I do research on an
issue I'm having I actually LEARN things. I learn what is happening and why
and how to fix it, or at least get very close to each. Each problem I have to
deal with or new thing I try makes me better equipped next time I have an
issue or someone on a list asks a question. With MS it was always a guessing
game in the end, and helping my friends with their Win machines just meant I
played the guessing game for them cause I was better at it.
