Lazy answer: Until you learn the ins and outs of PPP, just get something
that will automate it as much as possible.:-) X-ISP is a good app, that
simplifies the procedure...actually the interface in terms of configuring
your dial-up is very similar to Windows, I think. EZPPP is a similar type
of app, with very minimal configuration. And of course, a list favorite is
wvdial, which is debatably the easiest to use. If you want to learn the
scripts, another thing I'd recommend is ppp-setup, which will generate
options files, and add the right scripts, which you can check out later,
if they work for you and compare it with what you tried, to 'get the bugs
out'.:-) If you're lazy ( like me ) go to freshmeat and do a search to get
the urls. Hopefully, you'll be up and running in no time.
