First I would say that your CDROM is more likely to be IDE/ATAPI than
SCSI.  Tryspecifying different channels and master/slave combinations for
ituntil U hopefully find one that works.

Secondly, the , I am familiar with some of the Adaptec cards of the 15xx
series, although not the 1515 specifically.  It could be that this is a
PnP update to the series and the IRQ is dynamically assigned at boot time.
One thing U could try is 2 look for a Dos/Win based util supplied by
Adaptec to disablt PnP.  Then pending that, C if you cna diable BIOS PnP
for the IRQ that U statically (non-PnP) assign.  I have done this
successfully with some Ethernet cards which gave some pr similar problems
