HI,
I had the same problem with S.u.S.E. and it was solved
when i updated to kernel 2..0.36
There was a problem in lp.c file of 2.0.35 kernel.
Another way that worked for me was replacing that lp.c file with the one that
is coming with 2.0.34 kernel and then recompiled.
