Just an idea --
If you like to play with the hardware, all you need to do is upgrade the BIOS
chip. Pick one you like and replace the existing BIOS chip. It will not have
a password until you set one.
Check your local computer shows. Here, in Las Vegas, there is a "computer
show" at least once a month. It is actually a swap meet for for all kinds of
computer parts, pieces, and paraphenalia. You might find a Libretto with a
fried board and a good screen.
