Hello List,
Well, after playing around with a copy of SuSE 5.2 I got from a PC Magazine
for a few weeks, I have gone out and purchased SuSE 6.0 from 'The Linux
Emporium' on (UK) 01491 837010 on Friday. It came Saturday morning. Great
service.
Anyway, before I put the new version on, are there any pitfalls I should be
aware of before I start. I understand that this version ships with kernel
.36, and I will have to upgrade to 2.2 after.
Should I totally remove 5.2, and format before putting on 6.0, or does the
upgrade work fine.
How complicated is it to upgrade to the newer kernel?, what does it offer? I
have not even tried to add sound to my 5.2 setup, because it looks quite
complicated. I only have 750 Megs to play with for Linux, is this enough for
a running system (100 Meg also for swap space)
What are the CAD programs like on the CD's, are they any good?
Thanks
