Many have overwritten, many have upgraded. I chose the upgrade route
and it went fine. Libc6 is part of the new version, but I did make sure
that I had selected the old libc5 libraries to be installed so I could
run the old programs as well. I did not install the 2.2 kernel. I plan
to wait until SuSE's superb engineering staff works all the bugs out and
integrates it in the next release. I had only 137MB (16%) of disk space
left on my hda. After the install only 3% was left. So I copied the
/opt to a partition on my new 6.4GB drive, /c3/opt, deleted /opt, and
put in a link to /c3/opt on hda. I now have 13% free on hda.
Nice release!
