I missed kpackage, so I tried to compile it by myself. It seems quite easy,
there is even a spec file if you want rpm.
The version I have is 1.1.3 (the latter realese) which requires Qt >=1.42,
which I have installed on my system. The problem is that I cannot compile it
because all the qt include files have the wrong name!
For example:
In file included from kpackage.cpp:21:
kpackage.h:46: qfiledlg.h: No such file or directory
kpackage.h:47: qgrpbox.h: No such file or directory
In file included from kpackage.cpp:23:

I had a look at /usr/lib/qt/include and:
qfiledlg seems to be named qfiledialog.h
qgrpbox seems to be named qgroupbox.h

Who is wrong, the author of Kpackage or people at SuSE who made
the Qt rpms?

I have also noticed that some KDE1.1 applications suffers with a sort of buffer
overruns when xfstt is installed. I use the same number and type of true type
fonts I used with 5.3. The compilations of xfstt is extremely easy so you
cannot be wrong with that. I use the same version of xfstt as I used in 5.3
(hey, I compiled it again, with the libc6, I am not usinf the version for 5.3).
Kmail is one of the affected program.
Moreover, I had lots of problem with the italianisation of the Desktop as I
reported on this list. I downloaded the rpms from SuSE and I installed three
or four time right now, always after removing any clue of the previous
installation. I have the suspect that the KDE1.1 packages are not very well
done.
